The Custom Service of the Republic of Moldova, orientated towards the continuous improvement of quality in the field of customs administration, has implemented a quality management system in compliance with the international Standard ISO 9001:2008.
In December 2013 the central office and Ungheni custom office obtained the certification of the quality management system in compliance with the international standard ISO 9001:2008. In 2014 the Custom Service has continued the improvement of the quality management system and its implementation for all the territorial divisions.
In August 2014, SRAC auditors ascertained the conformity of the quality management system implemented in the custom offices with the international standard ISO 9001:2008 and decided for their certification.
With the occasion of the celebration of „the custom worker day”, the General Manager of the Custom Service received the ISO 9001:2008 certificates for the certified custom offices.
The Commercial Manager of SRAC, Mihai Capatina, mentioned: „It is obvious that a contribution for this success belongs to the management and to everyone involved in the development of the processes and activities through the results and progress noticed at the organizational level through the acknowledgement, implementation and compliance of the requirements of the ISO 9001:2008.Standard and of their own policies and objectives, but also at the strategic level through a better communication.”
The General Manager of the Custom Service considers that „ the attainment of the ISO 9001:2008 certificate confirms the success of the reforms promoted by the Custom Service in the past years and it also proves that the citizens and the business community can be assured that in the future the Custom Service shall offer quality, durable and transparent services”.
The Custom Service is the first public authority from the Republic of Moldova that managed to implement a quality management system in all its offices.
