Certification for food production and distribution chains: IFS, BRC, GLOBALG.A.P.

SRAC has signed a new partnership with ISACert – a renowned audit, verification and certification body for the food production and distribution chains.

Now SRAC’s offer contains internationally accredited certification services, namely:
  • IFS Food is a standard for the auditing of companies that process food or companies that pack loose food products. IFS Food applies when products are “processed” or when there is a hazard for product contamination during primary packing.
  • BRC Standards (British Retail Consortium). These standards are preferred by UK retailers. Thus, as in IFS standards, we can identify similar standards namely BRC Food, BRC Packaging Materials and BRC Storage and Distribution specific for food producers that intend to produce under “private label”.
  • Other certifications: GLOBALG.A.P, GMP+Feed Safety Assurance.

We specify that the certification schemes mentioned above are accepted and recognized by GFSI – Global Food Safety Initiave (except for BRC Storage and Distribution and GMP+Feed Safety Assurance).

In addition, we can supply the following products:

  • IFS Logistics  is a standard for audit and certification of all logistics activities for food and non-food products, such as transportation, storage, distribution and handling, etc. It applies to all types of transport: road, rail or sea and all states of food: frozen and fresh with or without refrigeration, bulk and packaged products.
  • IFS Broker – can be applied for companies primarily involved in ‘trading activities’. The Broker is responsible for the purchasing process (selection of suppliers) and delivering the goods to their clients.
  • IFS Cash & Carry/ Wholesale standard covers all handling activities of loose and unpacked products in Cash & Carry-markets or wholesale companies.
  • UTZ certified for coffee, tea and cocoa

In order to gain trust, you have to maintain your food safety management system at levels that comply with international standard and you can do it by choosing a trusted certification. SRAC, through its partnership with ISACert, can help you develop your business and access new markets.
